    Douglas LRS 6103XF
I absolutely love the Douglas line of rods. The LRS series is a strong durable rod that I use most of the time especially around vegetation and heavy cover. The XMatrix series are very lightweight and very sensitive. Love them both!!!

    LRS 6103XF
I have been using the LRS 6103XF as my primary finesse spinning rod which I normally throw drop shots, ned rigs, and small swimbaits on. This rod is insanely light and comfortable to fish with but also has enough backbone to get the mean smallmouth into the boat. With the extra fast tip, I swear I can even feel when smallmouth “nose” my bait but have not committed yet on those really tough days.

The best rods in my line up
Without a doubt, Douglas rods are the best rods I’ve ever fished with. I have used G. Loomis, St. Croix, Fenwick, and other rods. These other rods are great, but don’t even come close to the sensitivity, weight and quality of these rods. I have the LRS S6103XF, and in my opinion, its the best rod for using plastics and jigs for walleye, and a perfect rod for river trout fishing.

Douglas 6103XF lrs spinning rod review
This year for fathers day, I bought my dad the 6103XF rod. I’m not the biggest fisherman myself, but he’s been getting more and more into fishing and I wanted to get him a higher quality rod. He said it is one of the best rods he has ever used. I actually got to test it out a little too, and had a good experience.
