These rods are the real deal
I picked up the 6’10” to be my primary drop-shot/finesse rod and I love it. The sensitivity is off the charts but it has plenty of backbone to handle bruiser smallmouth. I also own some Douglas LRS which I really enjoy as well, but the XMatrix series is a noticeable step up. Not to mention it’s hard to beat their warranty on these rods, they really stand by their products.

    XMatrix DXS 6103XF
I just started using Douglas Rods last year and their spinning rods are no joke! I’d challenge you to find a rod with more strength that is as light and comfortable as the XMatrix. I got the 6’10 for drop-shotting and i can’t even count how many fish I’ve caught on that thing. Feels similar to my G-Loomis NRX spinning rod because of the light weight and sensitivity paired with it’s strength capabilities.

Amazing light weight rod for ned rigs
This rod is super sensitive. I am glad I went extra fast tip for ned rig applications. Makes a world of difference.

  4. Capt. Craig H.

Most sensitive rod that I own
X-Matrix 6′-10″ is my go to for the most accurate casting. When fishing Blade Baits, Hair Jigs or even Jig N Raps this is the most universal rod on the market for the money!
